Patrick Broekema is playing the following instruments: Guitar, bouzouki, 6-string balalaika, mandoline-banjo en uilleann pipes (see pic).

After he started playing the guitar at 17, Patrick took part in various bands. The first one was the psychedelic band Epigraph, followed by the funpunkband Das Nix. After recording a demo, the band performed at several festivals. After the band fell to pieces, it stayed fairly quiet for a while, until he started the folkband Mitrick, together with accordionist Michel Mulder. This became rather a succesfull project. They recorded a cd and appeared at the prestigious Folkwoods festival in Eindhoven, back in august 2002. In autumn 2002 Patrick joined Me Jane.
