Wiro Jacobs (1959, born under the planetary configuration of Pesces, beyond the 7 hills) It all started back in the 70ies, with an old guitar, from which he instantly stripped off the two superfluous strings.
Learned the trade in church, in the accompanying band of 'Sjalom', the juvenile church-choir. After that, (hard-)rock, underground, metal, folk, symphonic theatre and jazz crossed his way, from the smallest (squat)cafés to large podia all throughout the Netherlands.
Was he earlier the bass-player at Theater Amsterdam, Diamond Dogs and Gina & The Joker, now he climbs the stage, creative and opinionated with (bow)bass and percussion: cajon en djembé.
Fascinated by the power of vulnerability, which is reflected in music.
